Meet Author Precious Swain
Precious Swain author/blogger born in Los Angeles, CA. She has had a love for creative writing since a child. There was always a journal or notebook nearby. As the owner of Swain Girl Media, she has created an outlet for herself and others to present their media content to the masses. Precious is the proud mother of seven adult children with a host of grandchildren and Godchildren. Proving to be both prolific and transparent motivational speaker, she was the host of the Precious Show that aired on Cox Cable Gainesville/Ocala and currently is in production as the host of Fresh Not Frozen. Her first test at professional writing Precious released The Pleasurable Perils series, an erotica series based on the behind the scenes of the hip-hop scene as seen through the eyes of a female entertainment manager. Later releasing The "Who Says a Princess Can't Come from the Ghetto" series, which is a testimony of Precious Swain's life journey through life as a young woman growing up in a double lifestyle half in the hood and the other half in suburbia. The story is one of survival, pain, and betrayal. PWH: What sparked your start in creative writing? PS: When I was a child, my grandmother taught me to use a diary/journal to write my feelings daily as a way to release. I continued writing through school entering essay contest and poetry writing contest. After college, I stopped writing until my divorce. After my divorce, I wrote an erotica series to get back into writing. PWH: Tell us about your recent book release entitled: He Was There All The Time: PS: "He Was There All The Time" is book three in the "Who Says A Princess Can't Come From The Ghetto?" series. It talks openly about my time as a single woman waiting for the Creator to send me a husband. It talks about struggling with masturbation, depression, anger, and horrible dating experiences. It is a true story explaining that even though it is talked about and preached in the pulpit that in reality, waiting is not easy. It explains why waiting is essential in the healing process. It talks about how the man that became my husband was there the whole time. PWH: How many books have you written in total? PS: I have written a total of nine books. A three-book erotica series, a cookbook, four books of the "Who Says..." series, and the first book of the "Truth or Tradition" series. PWH: Tell us about Swain Media? PS: Swain Girl Media is a publishing company. I founded Swain Girl Media with my four daughters. We started with just my books, and now we have published four other authors, consulted an author on how to start their own publishing company, and released one series and one movie on our Amazon Prime channel. We are accepting new authors and film projects. PWH: What can readers expect from you next? PS: Currently, I am working on the second book in the "Truth or Tradition" series, working on the virtual classes to accompany the "Truth or Tradition" series. We are working on rescheduling the canceled speaking engagements. I will also be participating in four upcoming collaborations; "Finding Joy In The Journey," "Power of an Overcomer," "Survivor to Conqueror," and "Pretty Paid And Powerful: 40 Days to Empowering the Woman Within".
